This Project in Surry consists of several elements: Waterfall mound, stream & pond, flagstone patio, drystacked stone walls, fire pit and planting.

Over 30 tons of stone were used.

We started with a bare space and a large pile of construction debris.

Phase I of the project was the 16' X 10' X 2' deep pond, 20' X 3'6" stream and 20' X 20' X 5' tall waterfall mound. The water feature has an overall dimension of approximately 50' long by 26' wide and covers a 1,300 sq. ft. area.
These photos show the formed pond and stream , which were excavated and shaped by hand.
The waterfall mound and stream banks are built up with the original pile of construction debris and covered with the dirt excavated from the pond.
The liner is then installed, and the stone placement process started.
When the stone placement is completed and pump installed, the water feature is planted with a variety of conifers and perennials for year round interest and color.
Phase II of the project was the flagstone patio and drystacked retaining walls
Due to the lot slope, the area was hand terraced to create a level flagstone patio with steps and drystacked retaining walls.
Phase III of the project was the construction of a fire pit with matching stone
